OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE NEW SOCKS AND UNDERWEAR (THE MOST-NEEDED BUT LEAST-DONATED CLOTHING ITEM) TO SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN EXPERIENCING HARDSHIP IN DALLAS COUNTY, TEXAS. WE BELIEVE EVERY CHILD DESERVES CLEAN, NEW BASICS THAT HELP THEM FEEL CONFIDENT, DIGNIFIED, AND READY TO LEARN.

THE NEED IN DALLAS COUNTY
Dalllas County is home to more than 2.6 million residents- and tens of thousands of its children go without basic clothing necessities every day. With a child poverty rates of 17.2% (U.S. Census Bureau SAIPE, 2024), The need is urgent and ongoing. Despite the prevalence of clothing drives new socks and underwear are rarely donated, leaving a critical gap that shelters, school, receration centers and resource centers consistently identify as their top unmet need. Embrace the Basics Foundation was founded specifically to FILL THAT GAP- with brand-new, dignity-centered items delivered directly to the children who need them the most.
